What We Love About Faak am See:
Its beautiful landscapes in the winter and warm sunny summers. Faak am See is best known for its crystal-clear lake, located in the heart of the village. It is perfect for the winter and summer with fantastic pistes as well as great hiking and mountain biking trails.
This Carinthia Province boast’s some of the best golf course in Austria, with two 27-hole courses, five 18-hole courses, two 9-hole courses and various driving ranges. Further to this, the lake is very extremely clean, thanks to only electric boats allowed to be used on the lake.
Ski Scene :
Faak am See is just a 15 minute drive to the pretty town of Annenhiem offering direct access to the Gerlitzen ski region. The ski resort of Gerlitzen is located in Annenheim at an altitude of 1,911m. There are 45km of perfectly groomed pistes to explore stretching in all directions, along with 15 ski lifts, wide downhill runs. The Gerlitzen ski area is perfectly suited to beginners with 13km of blue runs, 29km of red runs and 3km of black runs – there is even a dedicated beginners’ area at the middle station where you can develop your skills.
The ski area is accessed via the Kanzelbahn gondola and offers incredible views over the Ossiacher Lake and the Slovenian borders beyond. Snowboarders will be kept busy too with a fun-park equipped with kickers, rails, tables a curved box and a straight box and if this wasn’t enough there is a further 12km of cross-country ski trails to explore.

Summer Fun :
Thanks to its lakeside location, Faak am See offers lots to do in the summer months too. The turquoise lake is Carinthia’s best kept secret. With over 180 days of sunshine a year and lake temperatures reaching up to 28°C, our ski property in Faak am See offers the perfect dual-season investment.
Activities available include sailing, windsurfing and paddleboarding. All the boats are electric, keeping the lake free from pollution. Away from the water there are plenty of hiking and cycling trails with long walks over the Gerlitzen Mountain. The mountain also provides great views into Italy and Slovenia.
Nearby Villach, the second largest town in the state of Carinthia, dates back to 1007 and has many sites for you to explore including the Finkenstein Castle and city museum and the Holy Cross Church decorated in a vibrant coral pink and renowned for its ornate twin towers.
You can also experience the Villacher Alps up close via the Villach Alpine Road. This fantastic 17km toll road winds its way from Villach all the way up to the 2,167m Dobratsch, the region’s highest peak – a must see!
